Arliene M Kuntz

Arliene M. Kuntz, age 92, of St. Ansgar, Iowa, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026, at the Good Samaritan in St. Ansgar. Arliene was born in Mitchell County on January 27, 1934, to Roy and Rose (Wahl) Wilde.

She marriage Gene Kuntz on October 9, 1955, and together they raised nine children. Arliene worked as dental assistant, at the yogurt shop, and a cook at Good Samaritan Center in St. Ansgar. She enjoyed baking, canning, and gardening. Arliene especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Arliene is survived by her children, three sons, Robert (Judy) of St. Ansgar, Dennis (Joanne) of Boone, Douglas Kuntz of Pleasant Hill; five daughters, Kathy (Terry) Willis, Becky (Brian) Juenger of Stacyville, Mary Nelson of St. Ansgar, Linda (Gary) Schotanus of St. Ansgar and Janet (Jim) Evans; 20 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, sister, Rosemary of Mason City and a sister-in-law Lois Westendorf of Des Moines and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene; daughter, Debra and brother, Melvin (Shirley) Wilde and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar, IA. Visitation will take place from 9:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Grafton Cemetery.

The family would like to thank everyone at the Good Samaritan Society and St. Croix Hospice for their kindness and care.
