Bonnie Jean Grimm, age 92, of Osage, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Scenic Manor in Iowa Falls, Iowa. Bonnie Jean Adams was born on April 17, 1933, in rural Osage, the daughter of Walter and Wilma (Zemanek) Adams. She graduated from Mitchell High School in 1950. On January 12, 1952, she married Carl “Sonny” Grimm in St. Ansgar. Bonnie was employed for 28 years as a sheriff’s clerk, dispatcher, and jailer in Mitchell County. Bonnie was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and the Osage American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries. She enjoyed oil painting and golfing. Bonnie loved knitting sweaters for her granddaughters and made many bedroom slippers for her relatives and friends. Bonnie and Sonny traveled together to many locations in the US and Canada to visit relatives.
Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Laurie (Bruce) Jeffries of Iowa Falls; granddaughters, Michelle (George) Kruse, Nichole (Doug) Jorges and their children Layton Jorges and Kayleigh Jorges, all of Iowa Falls; Cathy (Marty) Shogren of Ackley, Stacy (Jeff) Mulford and Kirk (Jen) Jeffries of Iowa Falls; with a combination of 22 grand and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Carl “Sonny” Grimm; parents, Walter and Wilma; brothers, Glen, Donald, Rene, Wayland, and Dean Adams; infant brother, Gene Adams; and sisters, Juanita Arickx, Winona Stroberg, and Virginia Peronteau.
The memorial service for Bonnie will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Hoff Celebrations – Champion Chapel in Osage. The visitation will take place 9:30-11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Mitchell. Hoff Celebrations - Champion Chapel of Osage is assisting the family with arrangements.
