Bonnie Lou Nichols

Bonnie Lou Nichols, age 76, of St. Ansgar, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Mayo Clinic Hospital Rochester, St. Marys Campus in Rochester, Minnesota. Bonnie Lou Lievrouw was born on October 28, 1949, in Osage, Iowa, to Henry and Ann Marie (Maertens) Lievrouw. She was the youngest of four children; her three older brothers were George, Ronald, and Terry. Bonnie Lou graduated from St. Ansgar High School in 1966. Prior to her retirement, she worked at the nursing home in St. Ansgar for many years. She loved animals, especially her cats, and being at home with them. She found peace within her home, watching the shows she loved and listening to the music she enjoyed. A steady presence in her life was her faith in angels, which brought her comfort and strength. Bonnie Lou will be remembered for the beautiful memorials she created on Find a Grave, where she honored those she loved with heartfelt tributes.

Bonnie Lou is survived by her daughter, Ann Marie Anderson of Rochester; brothers, Ronald (Kathleen) Lievrouw and Terry (Theresa) Lievrouw; two grandchildren; and great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harley Dean Anderson and Jerry Gordon Nichols; son, Kameron Dean Anderson; parents, Henry and Ann Lievrouw; and brother, George Lievrouw.

A graveside service for Bonnie Lou will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at the St. Ansgar Cemetery, St. Ansgar, Iowa. Hoff Celebrations – Schroeder Chapel of St. Ansgar is assisting the family with arrangements.
