Bradley "Brad" Ronald Flo

Bradley “Brad” Ronald Flo, 75, of Kensett, Iowa died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, June 9th, 2026. Brad was born in Albert Lea, Minnesota on December 16th, 1950, to Beverly (Sorenson) and Ronald Flo. He was raised in Rake, Iowa until he moved to Kensett at the age of five where he called home the remainder of his life. He graduated in 1969 from Northwood-Kensett High School before obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree from Mankato State College in 1974. He was united in marriage to Vickie Mogk on June 4, 1977, and together they raised two daughters, Amber and Abby.

Brad worked for Watertower Paint and Repair and later Central Tank Coating painting and repairing water towers. Brad was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church, Kensett Lions Club, and Kensett Fire Department for many years. He was born to be a Papa, always ready with M&M’s and mischief. Brad enjoyed hunting, telling stories and jokes, and spending time with his family. One of his later pastimes was to cruise around town in his golf cart keeping up on all the comings and goings around Kensett. Brad will always be known for his quick wit.

Brad is survived by his wife Vickie; his daughters Amber (Dan) Deyle and Abby (Tracy) Patterson; grandchildren Jackson Deyle, Maisey Patterson, Chase Deyle, and Gage Patterson; sister, Karen Schneider; along with aunts, an uncle, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Brad was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Beverly Flo, brother Jon Flo, and brother-in-law Steve Schneider.

The family would like to thank the staff at Fresenius Kidney Care in Mason City for the great care they provided over the past two years.

A funeral service for Brad will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, June 15, 2026 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Kensett, Iowa. Visitation will take place on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at Hoff Celebrations-Sites Memorial Chapel of Northwood from 4:00pm-6:00 pm and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place following the service at Kensett Cemetery in Kensett, Iowa. Memorials are preferred to the Lions Club of Kensett, Kensett Fire Department or Bethany Lutheran Church of Kensett.
