Brenda Sue Acrie

Brenda Sue Acrie, age 68, passed away on January 16, 2026, at Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage.

Brenda was born on May 1, 1957, in San Bernadino, California, to Alvin Floyd and Martha Sue (Bartlett) Woodard. She was living in California when she had her three wonderful children who were the joy of her life, Samantha, Amanda, and Joseph. She always had a lot of love to give and loved hosting her family on holidays. She would be up early preparing the food and after dinner it was her turn to relax while the family cleaned up for her. Brenda was also known for her chocolate fried pies and fudge. In her spare time she enjoyed bingo, arts and crafts, and fishing.

Brenda also lived in Las Vegas where she worked as a dispatcher for Coach USA before the family moved up to northern Minnesota and then to Rake, Iowa.

Brenda is survived by her children, Samantha (Leslie) Janzen, Amanda Jiles, and Joseph (Amanda) Jiles; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Betty (Jim) Neil, Cookie Howard, and JoAnn (Armond) Mazzuco. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
