Glenda D. Newstrom

Glenda D. Newstrom, age 85, of Osage, Iowa, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025, at her home in Osage. Glenda was born on October 21, 1940, in Allegheny, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Glen and Anna (Fisher) Holt.

On December 25, 1959, Glenda married Howard Newstrom at the home of her parents in Fontana, California. Glenda was a customer service representative for many years for Southern California Edison. Her hobbies included quilting, needlepointing, cross stitching, knitting and working with stained glass. Glenda enjoyed casino trips, tea parties, getting together with family and friends, and drinking Coke. She was an avid Coke drinker for a long time.

Glenda is survived by her daughters, Shannon Schultz of Osage and Erin (Michael) Niemeyer of Osage; and grandchildren, Michael (Elizabeth) Schultz, and Brianna, Megan and Riley Niemeyer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Howard.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Hoff Celebrations – Champion Chapel in Osage, Iowa, with Pastor Andy Saye officiating. A visitation will take place at 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery. Hoff Celebrations - Champion Chapel of Osage is assisting the family with arrangements.
