Holly Jo Kruse

Holly Jo (Faas) Kruse, age 44, of Stacyville, Iowa, passed away on September 3, 2026, at her home in Stacyville.

Holly was born on April 8, 1982, in Osage, Iowa, to Gregory and Melinda (North) Faas. She graduated from Osage High School in 2001. On October 19, 2002, Holly married the love of her life, Timothy Kruse, at the Methodist Church in Osage. Together they built a life centered on family, friendship, and making memories with those they loved.

Holly spent her years staying home and raising their three boys. She also ran a daycare from her home and was called the mother hen. Recently she worked as a cashier at K&N Mini Mart convenience store. Holly and Tim were member of the Easy Riders Snowmobile Club.

Holly had a passion for the outdoors and treasured every opportunity to spend time camping, boating, and visiting Michigan's Upper Peninsula. She especially enjoyed snowmobiling and was known for her ability to make friends wherever she went. Holly loved being around people, riding side by side with family and friends, getting a little muddy, sitting around a bonfire, sharing stories, and simply enjoying life. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and creating lasting memories together.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Timothy Kruse of Stacyville; her parents, Gregory and Melinda Faas; her children, Jayden (Selena Tank) Kruse of New Hampton, Jesse Kruse of Stacyville, and Jaret (Rachel Krieger) Kruse of Quincy, Ohio; her brother, Jacob (DeAnna) Faas of Stacyville; her nieces and nephews, Alexander, Abigail, Annabella, Kayden, and Idamae; her father-in-law, James Kruse; as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Holly was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Roger and MaryAnn Schnell; her paternal grandparents, Sylvan and Virginia Faas; and several aunts and uncles.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at The Old County Seat in Mitchell, Iowa. Her burial will take place in the Osage Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on September 12, 2026.

To honor Holly, the family asks that instead of flowers, memorials be directed to the family, they plan to use the money to get a memorial for Holly.
