Jeannie Margaret Parcel

Jeannie Margaret (Priestley) Parcel, age 75, of Osage, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at her home in Osage. Jeannie was born on July 24, 1950, in LeRoy, Minnesota, to Jonas and Julia (Torney) Priestley. Jeannie graduated from Osage High School in 1968 and went on to attend NIACC for two years to pursue a teaching degree. She met Ed in 1980, and they were married on August 8, 1981, and their son Brandon was born in September 1982.

Jeannie worked at the Schultz Department Store in Osage for several years, and is where she met Ed, as he worked next door at the tire shop. Jeannie also worked at the Osage Daycare till her retirement. She drove the daycare bus, which the kids fondly called the Jeannie bus.

Jeannie and Ed enjoyed camping trips every year, going to National Parks to fill her passport book. They enjoyed taking motorcycle trips to Sturgis, South Dakota, and many day trips to the Mississippi River, staying at their favorite camp sites. One of their most memorable moments was when their son Brandon was united in marriage to Jessie Hinrichsen at the UCC Church in Osage, Iowa on June 4, 2005.

Jeannie is survived by her husband Ed Parcel, and their son Brandon (Jessie) Parcel.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jonas (1990) and Julia (1981); sisters, Virgina (2014), Martha (2020); brother, David (1977).

A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Riverside Cemetery in Riceville, Iowa.
