Lael M. Koster

Lael M. Koster, age 79, of Osage, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2026, at Faith Lutheran Home in Osage, Iowa.

A private service will be held at a later date.

Lael was born on April 13, 1946, in Denison, Iowa, the daughter of Emery and Edna (Hansohn) Tibbetts. She was united in marriage to Paul Koster on August 6, 1965, in Waukegan, Illinois.

Lael was a housewife and mother taking care of her family. Her hobby was painting ceramics. Lael enjoyed taking day trips with Paul, sitting outside with family, writing letters to loved ones, going to rummage and estate sales, baking, cooking and going to quilt shows. She liked bunnies and cats. Most of all she loved spending time with family

Lael was preceded in death by her parents Emery and Edna Tibbetts; siblings, Gary Tibbetts, Gale Tibbetts, Keith Tibbetts and Neil Tibbetts.

She is survived by her husband, Paul of Osage; daughter, Denise Koster of Rochester, MN son, Daniel (Sherry) Kiskunas of Waterloo, IA, two grandchildren and sister Leah (Michael) Tubbs.
