Michael "Mike" Lynn Schallock

Michael “Mike” Lynn Schallock, age 69, of Decorah, Iowa, died on Thursday, October 17, 2024. Mike was born in Charles City, Iowa, on July 5, 1955, to Lloyd and Phyllis (Cummings) Schallock. He attended Osage High School through 10th grade and later earned his GED. Mike worked for Salsbury in Charles City and celebrated his retirement there. Shortly before retiring, Mike met his long-time significant other, Donna, and relocated to Decorah. In true Mike fashion, he was unable to sit still and went back to work part-time at Malcom Enterprises. In his free time, Mike loved going fishing, hunting, attending auctions, tinkering in the garage, and watching the Green Bay Packers. Most of all, Mike loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.

Survivors include his long-time significant other, Donna Nicks; 2 sons; bonus daughter Naomi Luckey-Bothe; bonus sons, Richard (Jen) Bothe, Joseph Bothe, and William Bothe; grandchildren, Victor, Orso, Royal, Bryn, Wyatt, Sailyr and Boedy; sisters, Barb Murray, Cindy (Ronnie) Flugge, Lori(Danny) Novak, and Colleen Martin; brothers, Charles (Carolyn) Schallock and Wayne (Nadine) Schallock; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Phyllis Schallock.

A private family service will be held at the family’s request.
