Erma Mae Duponcheele

We are sorry to announce the passing of our beautiful mother Erma Duponcheele, age 93, on August 13th at the St Ansgar Good Samaritan Center. Erma Duponcheele was born October 13, 1929 in Belmond Township, Wright County Iowa, to Curtis and Wilma (Hewitt) Duncan. Erma married Robert Duponcheele on June 20. 1950 at the Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville, Iowa. They shared 48 years together until his passing in 1999. They farmed many years near St Ansgar until moving to their own farm west of Stacyville, Iowa. After her husbands passing, Erma and her son Jim continued to farm. She loved the farm life and was a very hard worker. She kept track of rainfall and the daily weather for many years on her calendar. Always looking back to see what the weather and temps were from a years ago. Erma and Jim kept their farm looking beautiful. She loved talking about farming with others. As she got older, she enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the Casino with family. Summer get togethers with her family, nieces and nephews, celebrating her birthday every year in October. Erma is survived by her daughters Jean (Charlie) Jones of Austin, MN, Judy (Corky) Krebsbach of Adams, MN, Donna (Neil) Hackbart of Grafton, IA, Mary Rosenberg and friend Larry Mausehund of St Ansgar, IA. Grandchildren; Joe, Raynae, Melissa, Erin, Ashley, Jon, Amy, Mindy, Mikayla and Step Grandchildren Kevin and Michael, 17 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by husband Robert, Son Jim Duponcheele, parents Curtis and Wilma Duncan. In laws Julius and Alida Duponcheele, brother Wilfred (Delores) Duncan, sister Edith (Luke) Juenger. In laws Julia (George) Lambaere, Laura (Robert) Vervaecke and Grandson Ryan Rosenberg. Thank You to everyone at the Good Samaritan Center and St Croix for the care she received.
