Robert "Bob" Carrison

Robert “Bob” Carrison, age 76, passed away peacefully at home on September 21, 2025, just two days shy of his 77th birthday. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Christine Carrison, whom he married on January 12, 1975; his daughter, Jamie (Jeremey) Simerson; and his treasured granddaughters, Jaylyn and Jovie Simerson. He is also survived by his brother, Clint (Charlotte) Carrison; his sister, Judy (Tink) Larson; his many brothers- and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews who dearly loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Opal (Pearson) Carrison; his parents-in-law, Wilma and Milford Erdahl and Vernon Casterton; his sisters, Donna Klingfuss and Linda Burnett; his nephew, Brian Carrison; as well as three brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law.

Born on September 23, 1948, Bob grew up in Osage, Iowa, and graduated from Osage High School in 1966. After graduation, he helped build the elevator in Osage before serving his country from 1968 to 1969 as a Specialist Fourth Class in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. In 1971, Bob began what would become a 43-year career at Mon-Ray, later known as Osage Manufacturing, where his dedication and hard work left a lasting mark.

Bob had many passions that brought him joy. He loved collecting Minneapolis Moline tractors, especially the "U" series, and had a keen interest in American Indian memorabilia. He enjoyed learning about the Civil War and could often be found working in his garage. Most of all, Bob cherished spending time with his granddaughters, sharing in their lives and creating lasting memories. He was also a proud member of the Osage VFW Post 7920.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 25, 2025, at Life Church, 2098 335th St, Osage, IA 50461 (3 miles south of Osage). Viewing will be from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., with the service following. Burial will be at Osage Cemetery after the service, and a luncheon will be held at the VFW in Osage, 3693 US-218, Osage, IA 50461. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor Bob’s life.

Bob’s legacy will live on through the love he shared with his family and friends and the many lives he touched.
