Stanley Niel Witham

Stanley Niel Witham, age 91, of Osage, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at his home. Stanley was born January 5, 1935, to Howard and Vivian (Ausen) Witham in Kensett, Iowa. He graduated from Lake Mills High School in 1953 and dedicated 30 years to the poultry business across various locations in Florida and Iowa, including Fort Dodge, Charles City, Des Moines, and Mason City. Additionally, he served the State of Iowa for 10 years. On November 18, 2008, Stanley was united in marriage to Shirley Martinson at the United Church of Christ in Osage, Iowa. Stanley was a devoted member of several Lutheran churches throughout his life and actively participated in Barbershop International, including the River City Chorus of Mason City. He also enjoyed being a member of various golf clubs and church choirs. Stanley had a passion for singing, golfing, and researching his ancestry. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley of Osage, Iowa; children, Kimberly Witham of Mason City, Iowa, Thomas (Michelle) Witham of Mason City, Iowa; stepchildren, Christine (Dino) Sturino of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Catherine (Brad) Woodiwiss of Lone Tree, Iowa, and Monica Buckman of Kenosha, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Sara (Vuong) Nayima, Alexander (Annie) Witham, and Molly (Kyle Lentz) Witham; great-grandchildren, Jasper, Violet, Löwen, and Stella; step-grandchildren, Andrea, Joshua, Dakota, Benjamin, Laura, Carl, Kathleen, Julia, Lindsey, Nicholas, Jeffrey, Alan, Eric, and Luke; step-great-grandchildren, Allison, Aiden, Alayna, Asher, Jayla, Kinzie, Milo, Beau, Ava, Evelyn, Maisie, Rylie, Raegan, Danny, Nolan, Ruby, Lane, and Henry; sister-in-law, Marjorie Melin; and brother-in-law, Wayne (Karen) Ingebritson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Vivian Witham; daughter, Kelly Swanson; grandson, Zachary Witham; brother, William (Pat) Witham; sisters, Norma Berg and Audrey (Jack) Hastings; stepdaughter, Meta Weber; stepson, Paul Martinson; and step grandson, Dustin Dexter.

A funeral service for Stanley will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 8, 2026, at First Grace Lutheran Church in Osage, Iowa. The visitation will take place from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, at Hoff Celebrations – Champion Chapel and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Osage Cemetery. Hoff Celebrations - Champion Chapel of Osage is assisting the family with arrangements.
