Tyler purchased the funeral home from the Schroeder family and continues its long-standing tradition of serving families with compassion and care. Originally from the St. Charles/Winona area, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mortuary Science from the University of Minnesota and is dedicated to supporting families during some of life's most difficult moments.

Outside of work, Tyler enjoys spending time with his wife, Emily, and their two daughters. Whether they're at the family cabin, out fishing, or enjoying the outdoors together, family is at the center of much of what Tyler enjoys. He also likes taking Jeep and motorcycle rides, working on projects in the garage, and spending time hunting and fishing.

Tyler is actively involved in the community through organizations including the Healing Hearts Grief Center, Rotary, and the Minnesota Funeral Directors Association, where he serves as Treasurer.

At home, Tyler has two dogs, Duke and Cody. Cody holds the special title of Chief Comfort Officer and accompanies Tyler to work each day, providing comfort and companionship to families and staff alike.

Tyler's dedication to his profession, his community, and his family reflects the caring approach he brings to those he serves every day.

Cody has been part of our family since 2023, when he was adopted by Tyler and his wife, Emily—and he’s been “on the job” ever since. Known for his mellow personality and calming presence, Cody has a natural way of helping people feel at ease during difficult moments.

When he’s not making rounds at the funeral home, you’ll find him enjoying the outdoors, keeping an eye out for snacks, and happily accepting treats (did we mention he loves treats?). He has a soft spot for kids—especially the ones who accidentally drop crumbs.

Cody comes to work with Tyler every day and is always happy to help when needed. Although he didn’t pursue formal therapy dog certification, he completed obedience training in 2023 and is well-behaved in a variety of environments. He is available upon request to attend visitations, services, and off-site visits with permission.

Kelsey grew up in Northwood, Iowa, and brings a strong passion for serving families and supporting her community. Her background includes a cosmetology license, with education and training in Denver, Colorado, and La James International College in Mason City, Iowa.

Outside of her role at the funeral home, she is a devoted wife and mother of two who enjoys spending as much time as possible with her family. She loves staying active, being outdoors, and making the most of Minnesota summers.

An entrepreneur at heart, Kelsey owns and operates a small hair business. Her hobbies include sports, gardening, traveling, spending time on the water, and cheering on her children in their activities. She and her husband dedicate much of their volunteer time to supporting their children's programs, coaching softball, T-ball, and travel baseball. They also support the golf course through community fundraising efforts.

At home, she enjoys the company of her two beloved Morkies, Lexi and C-Lo. Her caring nature, dedication to family, and commitment to her community make her a valued member of the team and someone families can rely on for compassionate support.

Hayley has been part of the funeral service since 2017. Born and raised in Austin, Minnesota, she finds the greatest meaning in her work through helping people during some of life's most difficult moments.

After graduating from Austin High School in 2013, Hayley earned a degree in Mortuary Science from Winona State University. She joined the funeral profession right out of college and has been dedicated to serving families ever since.

Outside of work, Hayley enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband stay busy raising their two sons and making memories together. When she finds a quiet moment, she enjoys reading and relaxing with a good book.

Hayley also shares her home with two beloved dogs: Titan, a Golden Retriever, and Gus, a Goldendoodle. Her caring nature, commitment to service, and strong ties to the  community make her a valued member of the team.

Adam has been serving families with compassion and professionalism since joining the funeral home in September 2021. Originally from Austin, Minnesota, he brings a wealth of experience to the profession, including eight years as a funeral director in the Twin Cities before returning to his hometown.

Adam graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2013 with a degree in Mortuary Science and is licensed to practice mortuary science in both Minnesota and Iowa. His education and experience have prepared him to guide families through difficult times with care, understanding, and attention to detail.

Outside of work, Adam enjoys a wide variety of seasonal outdoor activities and values spending quality time with family and friends. He is also a music enthusiast and enjoys staying active throughout the year.

Adam is actively involved in the community as an Ambassador for the Austin Area Chamber of Commerce, helping support local businesses and community initiatives.

His strong connection to the Austin community, combined with his dedication to serving others, makes Adam a valued member of the funeral home family.

Kayla joined the funeral home in September 2024 and is proud to serve families during some of life's most important moments. Originally from Brownsdale, Minnesota, she was drawn to funeral service after experiencing firsthand the impact that compassionate care can have on a family.

After the loss of her mother in 2022, Kayla was deeply moved by the professionalism and kindness shown by the funeral home staff who guided her family through a difficult time. That experience inspired her to pursue a career where she could provide the same level of care, support, and reassurance to others.

Kayla brings a diverse educational background to her work, holding degrees in Arts, Nursing, and Mortuary Science. Her combination of knowledge, compassion, and dedication allows her to serve families with understanding and empathy.

Outside of work, Kayla enjoys spending time with her family, racing, camping, and traveling. She also loves reading and creating crafts whenever she has free time.

At home, Kayla stays busy with her four pets: three dogs, Remmi, Ruger, and Casper, and a cat named Hendricks, affectionately known as “Henry.” Her caring nature, personal experience, and commitment to helping others make her a valued member of the team.

Ramsey understands firsthand the pain that comes with losing a loved one. His passion for serving others began at a young age following the loss of his father. As a junior in high school,  he entered the funeral home industry and quickly developed a compassionate approach to supporting grieving families during some of life’s most difficult moments. Ramsey’s understanding of the profession is rooted in both hands-on experience and a deep commitment to serving families with compassion, respect, and professionalism.  

Originally from Marble Rock, Iowa, Ramsey is a proud 2022 graduate of Rudd-Rockford-Marble  Rock High School. He holds Removal Technician licenses in both Iowa and Minnesota and plays an active role in the day-to-day operations of the funeral homes he serves.  

Outside of the funeral home, Ramsey enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it’s hunting,  fishing, hiking, reading, or spending time with his two Labrador Retrievers, Iris and Rufus. He is also an avid supporter of the Iowa Hawkeyes - Go Hawks! When he’s not serving families, you can often find him on the farm raising beef cattle and enjoying rural life.

Veronica serves as a Pre-Planning Specialist and Funeral Director, bringing compassion, experience, and a commitment to helping families navigate important decisions with confidence and peace of mind.

Originally from the Twin Cities, Veronica joined the funeral home in 2023 and has worked in the funeral profession for more than eight years. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Mortuary Science Program, where she developed the knowledge and skills that continue to guide her work today.

Veronica was drawn to funeral service because of her desire to help others. She finds great meaning in assisting families with preplanning, giving them peace of mind for the future, and providing guidance and support to families during difficult times when they need it most.

Outside of work, Veronica enjoys completing jigsaw puzzles, reading, and hand-knitting blankets. She is also an active member of the Zonta Club, supporting its mission of community service and advocacy.

At home, Veronica shares her life with two beloved pets: a French Bulldog named Oni and a Bearded Dragon named Mushu. Her caring nature, attention to detail, and dedication to serving others make her a valued member of the team and a trusted resource for the families she serves.

Anna has been a valued member of the funeral home family since 2017. Originally from Glenville, Minnesota, she enjoys spending time with her family and especially looks forward to their annual trips up north.

An outdoor enthusiast, Anna loves fishing and hunting with her husband, Zach. When she's not enjoying the outdoors, she can often be found making memories with family and friends.

Anna shares her home with her beloved Golden Retriever, Bocephus ("Bo"), who is an important part of the family. Her warm personality, dedication, and positive attitude make her a cherished member of the team.

Sue has been part of the funeral home family since 2021. Born and raised in Austin, Minnesota, she enjoys being part of a team dedicated to serving families and supporting the local community.

Outside of work, Sue enjoys camping, traveling, and playing bingo. Whether she's exploring a new destination or spending time outdoors, she values opportunities to relax and connect with family and friends.

Sue is also active in her community as a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church and participates in the Second Edition Singing Group, combining her love of music with community involvement.

Her friendly personality, dedication, and strong community roots make Sue a valued member of the team and a familiar face to many in the area.

Dana has been a valued member of the funeral home team for over 12 years. Originally from Austin, Minnesota, Dana brings a lifetime of experience in service-oriented professions and a deep commitment to helping others during difficult times.

Before entering funeral service, Dana spent 25 years as a firefighter, 10 years in law enforcement, and 9 years providing advanced life support in ambulance services. This extensive background in public service made funeral care a natural progression, allowing Dana to continue supporting individuals and families when they need compassion and guidance most.

Dana holds degrees in Fire Science and Criminal Justice and is a Certified Crematory Operator. Additional certifications include Transfer Care Specialist certification and other industry training that support the highest standards of care and professionalism.

When not at work, Dana enjoys reading, working word searches, hunting, fishing, golfing, and playing pool. Dana is also actively involved in the community, serving on the Board of Directors for the Blooming Prairie Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Directors/Trustees for the Austin Eagles Club.

Dana’s dedication to service, both professionally and within the community, reflects a genuine passion for caring for others and making a meaningful difference in people's lives.
